Port of Miami 2 is almost here.
The march to Rick Ross’ Port of Miami 2 is fully underway. The sequel to his 2006 debut album, Port of Miami, The Boss’ next album endeavor aims to capitalize on the original’s classic tracks that now trend sentimental: i.e. “Hustlin’” and “Push It.” With singles like “Act a Fool” featuring Wale and the recently-released, Drake-assisted “Gold Roses,” Port of Miami 2’s anticipation has ballooned.
One of those lead singles, “BIG TYME,” is an apt manifestation of this swelling excitement, as it shows Ross’ ability to recruit some of the industry’s most iconic and nostalgic names — Swizz Beatz is featured and Just Blaze produced — while still amassing attraction from younger fans who predate his ascent. Like the Pusha T’s and Lil Wayne’s, Rick Ross’ transcendent fame and ability makes him a conduit of sorts between the old and new generations. Recently, he delivered this single’s official video.
