TDE cannot be stopped.
Top Dawg Entertainment has been on a mission over the past several weeks. Aside from their perpetual dominance, the West Coast powerhouse elated patrons with a fan appreciation week, which saw releases from SiR, Isaiah Rashad, Zacari, Ab-Soul, and Reason. Quickly following that flooding of music, Reason linked with ScHoolboy Q for their banger of a track, “Pop Shit.” Now, the two TDE heavyweights have returned with the song’s official video.
Manifesting the song’s gritty ethos, the visual seems straight out of a dystopia, crawling with ominous vibes. The Jon Primo-directed video paints Reason and Q as antiheroes that you can’t help but cheer on as they move menacingly throughout Los Angeles. As a collective of creatives intent on challenging the status quo, the “Pop Shit” video manages to juxtapose this chilling soul by intertwining a respite of comedic relief into the narrative.
The “Pop Shit” video is a dynamic offering that is must-watch content.
