Celebrating their mutual hip-hop and basketball love, Pusha T and Damian Lillard have partnered for “Dame 6,” the single announcing Dame’s new signature shoe.
Produced by Push’s longtime collaborator and friend, the legendary Pharrell, “Dame 6” provides a gritty instrumental, comprised almost exclusively of various basketball-related samples: swishes in both chain and cloth nets; balls bouncing off the hardwood; backboards being slammed. Cut and chopped into a bare-bones aesthetic, Pharrell’s production provides ample opportunity for both Push to flex his lyrical muscle, as he articulates Lillard’s greatness.
Both starters for team Adidas with shared respect, this partnership is an organic launching point.
