Rest in Peace, Bashar.
To say it’s been a brutal past few months would be an understatement. Juice WRLD overdosed last December; Kobe Bryant, his daughter, Gigi, and seven other passengers were taken in a tragic helicopter accident several weeks ago. Now, the rising Brooklyn drill rapper, Pop Smoke, has reportedly passed away at the age of 20.
According to TMZ, Pop Smoke’s Hollywood Hills home was burglarized earlier this morning (approximately 4:30AM), resulting in two unidentified masked men firing multiple fatal shots. Pop was rushed to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
The Police are sorting through evidence and witness accounts to ascertain the details of the murder.
An artist who was just beginning to witness the fruits of his labor, materializing with his commercially-outstanding Meet The Woo 2 album, Pop Smoke’s death is a horrific reminder of life’s fragility.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Pop Smoke’s family during this tragedy.
