Always the newsmaker 50 Cent, recently discussed a collaboration he’d like to pursue. While this is nothing shocking in the hip hop world, who he wants to collaborate with is the shocker. He expressed his interest in doing a collabo with singer Susan Boyle, who’s killin’ the industry right now and even broke Eminem’s highest first week sales of 2009 with over 700,000 copies sold. 50 says:

Susan Boyle is hot right now. I got to get her on a track, for real. We’d make a hit. Everyone is talking about her, the lady from ‘Britain’s Got Talent.’ I’m always looking to do something new and she’s cool, so I’ll ask somebody to let her know. I’d love to take her clubbing, show her around my world. She’d have a great time.”

50 Cent and Susan Boyle collaborations and clubbing…that would officialy put the nail in the coffin for hip hop.

The Vatican, yes, The Vatican has recently submitted a special playlist to MySpace Music and surprisingly hip hop made it on the list.

Tupac’s classic “Changes” was chosen as one of twelve songs that appear on the list and it was submitted by Father Guilio Neroni, the artistic director for St. Paul’s Multimedia, which is a church publiser. Father Neroni says:

“This playlist is a perfect mix of classical, world and contemporary music. The genres are very different from each other, but all these artists share the aim to reach the heart of good minded people.”

Other artists to be included on The Vatican’s music list include Dame Shirley Bassey, Mozart, Muse, and more.

Katt Williams was reportedly arrested this past weekend for an incident that took place at a Georgia Wal-Mart. The comedian was taken to Coweta County jail for allegedly having a shot gun, however these reports were later proved to be false. TMZ reports:

Katt Williams did not have a shotgun on his person when police arrived at a Georgia Walmart earlier today, this according to the Newnan Police Department. Newnan Deputy Police Chief Rodney Riggs tells TMZ Katt was handcuffed, put in the back of a police car and questioned about an alleged altercation in the Walmart parking lot — but Riggs says Williams was released at the scene and never officially booked.”

Katt has also spoken out about the incident in hopes to clear his name explaining that he’s being targeted by police and says:

“This guy’s saying he’s her boyfriend and he’s brought his family with him. Now one of them has a holster and a pocket full of bullets and a pistol. So I tell them, let’s step outside. Once they get me outside and there’s six of them and of of me. Then all of a sudden, they calling the sheriff to tell the sheriff I got guns and I’m the problem…This is a witch hunt, it’s getting to the point where I feel like I’m being persecuted because this don’t make no sense. You can’t act like I’m a trouble maker, I been here for two months, I ain’t been to a club yet.”
