Burgeoning Atlanta transplant, by-way-of-Mississippi, Mercy is back with the official video for his new track, “Only On Go,” premiered earlier by No Jumper.
Following his March-released hit-single, “See What I See,” “Only On Go” aims to continue the young upstart’s momentum. With an infectious beat and an earworm hook, “Only On Go” demonstrates Mercy’s ability to ride a rattling production with finesse and his penchant for crafting engaging hooks with his textured voice.
Directed by Cricket, interspersed scenes of Mercy’s trap house and lively concerts formulate the “Only On Go” visual, providing a glimpse into the life of Babygrande Records’ most recent signee.
Upon releasing “See What I See,” Mercy watched his resolute hustle materialize by signing with the New York-based independent label in early 2019. Mercy began garnering industry attention when he began circulating his music throughout Atlanta — mainly, legendary promoter J Wise, who at the time was running the eminent Playlist Party at Atlanta’s Department Store venue.
Now that Mercy has caught the right ears, and is releasing impressive music, he’s intent on capitalizing on his moment and turning it into a movement.
