The 16-year-old artist continues making waves.
At only 16-years-old, Seattle rapper Lil Mosey has attracted attention from major industry players–like inking a deal with Interscope Records–and fans alike off the strength of his hybrid rap – singing abilities. HIs “Noticed” video, shot by the taste maker Cole Bennett, has amassed over 33mm views to date. But industry powerhouses and progressive gatekeepers aren’t the only ones endorsing the high school rapper.
While he’s best known for hits “Pull Up”–which has over 11mm YouTube views–and the aforementioned “Noticed”, Lil Mosey is using these explosive tracks as a career launching pad rather than a prematurely-reached summit. Fellow burgeoning artists are noticing the wave he’s leading, and are cashing in on the Lil Mosey business. Recently, BlocBoy JB hopped on Lil Mosey’s latest track, “Yoppa”.
Deploying his winsome dynamic vocal styling, Lil Mosey rhythmically rides the Royce David production, coalescing to create a unified aesthetic. Juxtaposing Mosey’s effortless crooning, BlocBoy JB offers a stark sonic contrast by enlisting his southern twang and style, which finds its own way to weave itself into the bouncy instrumental.
Given his age and relatively young career, the future is wide-open for Lil Mosey. But with his strong stream of releases, coupled with attracting features like BlocBoy JB, the sky is the limit for this kid.
