Kid Trunks Drops Debut LP, ‘Moon’

The South Florida artist explores his emotional depths.

Kid Trunks, a constituent of the late XXXtentacion’s Members Only collective, is a musical embodiment of his South Florida heritage. While he can channel the screaming, lo-fi sound that was integral to the SoundCloud movement, a movement pioneered largely by burgeoning Florida talent, Kid Trunks is a versatile artist. On his debut album, Moon, he puts that dynamism on full-display.

Moon is Kid Trunks’ official introduction to the music world. While he’s been featured heavily across the Members Only album and has put out a handful of mixtapes, Trunks is now ready for the spotlight.

Kid Trunks’ debut LP is a 17-track effort that includes production from Travis Barker, and features from Noah Cyrus, Bass Santana, Mikey Moore, and Anthony Flammia.

New Music: Travis Barker – “100” feat. Kid Ink, Ty Dolla $ign, IAMSU! & Tyga

Travis Barker, drummer for pop punk band Blink-182, is perhaps the last name you'd think you'd find on a hip hop based website. But in all honesty the dude has a passion for music and has been known to post covers of popular rap songs. He's done everything from Soulja Boy's 2007 hit "Crank That" to Eminem's "3am." And he's even released a full length album with all the tracks having a rapper as a guest feature -- there was Lil Wayne, Rick Ross, Swizz Beatz & Game -- and that was only on one song. Crazy. And here he's teaming up with Kid Ink, Ty Dolla $ign, IAMSU!, and Tyga for "100." Check it after the jump.
