Several weeks ago, following his triumphant summer of releases, Kanye dropped a surprise track, “XTCY”, on the file-sharing site, WeTransfer. Anchored in classic Ye tropes, like a soul sample from The New Year’s “My Bleeding Wound”, some questionable subject matter regarding his lust for his four sister-in-laws, and an unconventional release strategy, “XTCY” is anything but conventional, but completely original–just like the man Kanye himself. Now, Ye has given the people what they want taken “XTCY” to all streaming services.
