Looks like Chano will be getting his own seven-track album.
Rumors regarding Kanye and Chance’s collaborative work began swirling in the midst of Ye’s five-album roll-out, but without any concrete evidence, this proposed joint album trended more hypothetical than realistic. Well, it turns out that the two are planning something, and are intently working on bringing a joint venture to fruition.
Taking a media tour throughout his hometown of Chicago, Kanye gave a relatively lucid interview to Chicago’s 107.5 WGCI where he discussed a variety of topics, including his feud with Drake and apologizing for his “400 years a slave” remark. On his way out, a FOX 32 reporter inquired about his presence in the Windy City, to which Kanye replied that he was there working on Chance’s album.
Speaking to the reporter, Kanye commented, “I came out here with Chance to work on his album and I’ve just been hanging out with my friends … I love this city and I’ma be here a lot more. It’s a super inspiring place that made me who I am and I believe there’s some work that I could contribute to.”
While details regarding the release and project are still sparse, the knowledge that this thing actually is in the works provides a semblance of satiation, and gives us all something to look forward to.
