In an interview with The White Stripes, Jack White for GQ magazine. White talks about his new collaboration with Jay-Z. Back in 2004 Mark Ronson tried to get White to collaborate with hip-hop superstar Andre 3000 but the attempt was unsuccessful. Jay-Z has described White as a “renaissance man”. In the April issue of GQ White had this to say about his Jay-Z collaboration
“I just did a record with Jay-Z……We did a song together a few weeks ago. It was incredible. I played him something that I’ve been kicking around for a while and he immediately came out with words for it. It’s unbelievable-sounding.”
