Congrats to the Queen!
Cardi B is having quite the year. After taking the gilded trophy for “Best Rap Album,” the “Bodak Yellow” artist can add another award to her mantle: iHeartRadio crowned her “Hip-Hop Artist Of The Year.”
Pinned against megastars like Drake, Kendrick Lamar, Post Malone and Travis Scott, Cardi’s hard-earned victory is all the more impressive — especially given Travis and Drake’s record for the longest-running top-10 hip-hop track in “SICKO MODE.”
From relative to obscurity to winning two focal hip-hop awards within weeks of each other, Cardi B has emerged as on the industry’s premier talents. With multiple platinum records, a superstar husband, and a swelling music career, it’s all green pastures for the Bronx native.
A huge congratulations goes out to the Invasion of Privacy rapper.
