Atlanta’s next up is here.
It’s no surprise that Atlanta has emerged as one of, if not the, most influential hip-hop regions. Thanks to a collection of stars demonstrating maniacal work ethics and cultivating an enviable ethos, ATL is laying out the blueprint for success in the music industry. One of its latest to bubble up is Babyy Chris 2k, who started garnering attention with his “No Harm” single. Now, he’s ready to deepen his cachet, as he’s tapped Kevin Gates for the official remix.
Released alongside a Worldstar-exclusive video, the “No Harm” (Remix) is an encompassing introduction for Babyy Chris 2k to the uninitiated. With a wobbly flow — one that feels like he’s coloring just outside of the lines — and a unique persona, the rising Atlanta artist uses the Kevin Gates-assisted remix to continue distancing himself from his competition.
At times, he sounds like a disciple of Young Thug. But he’s far from a carbon copy of Thugger; rather, he’s someone who’s borrowed influence from one of Atlanta’s GOATs to help formulate his distinct artistry.
