The Game is one of the few MCs with old school ties who’ve managed to stay relevant. Sure, he’s known for his classics, like The Documentary, but he’s also a highly in-demand featured artist for today’s A-level talent. But as the old adage goes, all good things must come to an end: Game’s next album, Born To Rap, will be his final. Today, he’s revealed the release date — almost.
Announced through his Instagram, Game uploaded a carousel of images, acting like a time capsule of sorts for his career. With new Born To Rap merch, including clothing for his new label, Prolific Records, and commemorative The Documentary gear, Game captioned his post by saying his career-punctuating album should arrive next month.
It’s been rumored that artists like Ed Sheeran, A$AP Rocky, and Snoop Dogg might be featured. Given his close relationship with the dearly-departed Nipsey Hussle, it wouldn’t be surprising if a posthumous Neighborhood Nip verse made it on the final cut.
Until more details solidify, check out all merch and album info at Game’s Prolific Records website.
