Forbes has published their annual Hip-Hop Cash Kings list and this year Dr. Dre has topped the list, earning a whopping $620 million. This is, of course, due largely in part to his (and Jimmy Iovine’s) sale of Beats to Apple earlier in the year. Everyone else on the list seems like a distant second in comparison, which includes heavyweights Jay Z and Diddy tied for the #2 spot, equally earning $60 million in 2014. Forbes’ criteria for the list is an artist’s earnings from touring, record sales, publishing, merchandise sales, endorsements, and other ventures.
