Featuring Jack Harlow, 6LACK, Lil Durk, Megan Thee Stallion, and more.
Although it might not feel like it, we are walking into our first weekend of the summer. Yes, quarantine and covid are still very serious threats, but the calendar doesn’t bend to pandemics — the sun still shines. While we encourage everyone to take the necessary precautions when socializing, we also recognize that summertime is cathartic — and with what the world has been dealing with, it’s crucial.
To usher in summer’s official start, we’re back with the 6/26 edition of the Forever Cold❄️ playlist. This week’s mix is another eclectic one, featuring a medley of singles and projects from some of today’s hottest acts. The updated Forever Cold❄️ edition is headlined by: Jack Harlow, Lil Durk, Megan Thee Stallion, 6LACK, and more.
Kicking things off, Jack Harlow has come through with the remix to his already smash hit, “WHATS POPPIN.” The amended version is like giving steroids to the nation’s top running back, as Harlow’s tapped DaBaby, Tory Lanez, and Lil Wayne for the official remix. This new offering takes the original’s successful DNA, and arms it with even more firepower with three of the industry’s most in-demand talents.
Next up, Lil Durk has delivered the deluxe edition for his acclaimed album, Just Cause Y’all Waited 2. The extended version supplements the Chicago veteran’s original LP with seven new tracks, two of which have made this week’s Forever Cold❄️ list: “Support You” and “When We Shoot.”
One of today’s most-discussed stars, Megan Thee Stallion adds fuel to her fire with her new banger, “Girls in the Hood.” The new Hot Girl Meg offering samples the N.W.A. classic, “Boyz-n-tha-Hood.” Given that the original is one of hip-hop’s most iconic tracks, flipping it into a modern day hit is a tall task — but if anyone can do it, it’s Megan Thee Stallion.
Last but not least, the Atlanta crooner 6LACK has made good on his promised EP, 6pc Hot EP. Clocking in at under 20-minutes, 6LACK’s new EP doesn’t have an ounce of fat, with each bar and melody serving a distinct purpose. The Lil Baby-assisted “Know My Rights” has made this week’s list.
Other artists to make this week’s Forever Cold❄️ list are: Bankroll Hayden, Tyga, Guapdad4000, Denzel Curry, IDK, Calboy, Riff Raff, ERT, Cap Gold, and Calboy.
